Paul is a grandfather of eight with a history of eye issues. He knew something was wrong when he saw his long-time ophthalmologist’s reaction to his eye pressure results: 39-42 mm Hg (normal is 12-22). Dangerous numbers for a 72-year-old glaucoma patient. “He said I needed surgery to control the fluid to regulate the pressure. He was good about explaining exactly what was going to happen. Dr. Mantravadi is an easy person to talk to, down-to-earth. I felt confident with him. He told me he intended to operate on my left eye the next day, and my right eye in four weeks. I didn’t expect that, but I’ve seen enough doctors to know he was the right doctor for me.”
