Research Interests: Dr. Garg’s research focuses on advancing the diagnosis and treatment of retinal diseases through multicenter clinical trials, outcomes research, and surgical innovation. His areas of investigation include diabetic retinal disease, age-related macular degeneration, retinal vascular disorders, ocular inflammatory diseases including endophthalmitis, and vitreoretinal surgical diseases that affect the retina and macula. He has a particular interest in translating clinical research findings into evidence-based approaches that improve visual outcomes for patients.

Dr. Garg has extensive experience designing and conducting prospective and retrospective clinical research, with a focus on evaluating novel therapeutics, optimizing vitreoretinal surgical techniques, and assessing real-world treatment outcomes. He has served as Principal Investigator or Co-Investigator on more than 100 prospective clinical research studies, including investigator-initiated, NIH-sponsored, and industry-funded clinical trials.
