Dr. Margolis is an attending surgeon on the Wills Eye Hospital Retina Service. He graduated magna cum laude from Harvard Medical School, completed his ophthalmology residency at Wills Eye Hospital and a fellowship in vitreoretinal disease at New England Eye Center, Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts.
Dr. Margolis is a member of various ophthalmic societies including the American Society of Retinal Specialists, American Academy of Ophthalmology, and the Retina Society of New Jersey. He is active in clinical research and has served as an investigator in over 40 clinical trials for various retinal conditions and has also authored many book chapters and original articles on vitreoretinal diseases.
