Katie E. Schrack, MD is a board certified ophthalmologist with the Cataract and Primary Eye Care Service at Wills Eye Hospital. She graduated from Lafayette College in Easton, Pennsylvania, with a BS degree in Neuroscience in 2003 and obtained her medical degree from Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia in 2007. After medical school, Dr. Schrack completed her transitional medicine internship at Crozer Chester Medical Center, where she was named Intern of the Year. During her residency in ophthalmology at Temple University Hospital, she similarly distinguished herself as Chief Resident. Dr. Schrack concluded her training with a fellowship in cornea and anterior segment under the direction of Dr. Brandon Ayres and Dr. Irving Raber at Wills Eye Hospital.
In addition to patient care, Dr. Schrack continues to lecture and work with medical students from Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University. In this way, she remains committed to the next generation of physicians even as she continues to develop her skills as an ophthalmologist and surgeon.
