Geoffrey P. Schwartz, MD is a board-certified ophthalmologist on the medical staff of the Glaucoma Service at Wills Eye Hospital, where he teaches residents and medical students. His special areas of interest are in the medical, laser and surgical treatment of glaucoma, as well as cataract and intraocular lens surgery.
A graduate of Bowdoin College, Columbia University and Jefferson Medical College, Dr. Schwartz completed his residency in ophthalmology at Wills Eye Hospital and his glaucoma fellowship at Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in Miami, Florida.
Dr. Schwartz has published several book chapters on glaucoma as well as multiple articles on ophthalmology in peer reviewed journals. He lectures locally and nationally on glaucoma to fellow physicians and patients. He is a member of the American Board of Ophthalmology, the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society, the American Medical Association and the Pennsylvania Academy of Ophthalmology.
