Instructions for Non-Surgical Patients and Visitors
Wills Eye has implemented social distancing measures to help slow the spread of coronavirus. A limit of one person accompanying a patient will be enforced.
Masks and Personal Protective Equipment
At Wills Eye, masks are still required. Patients, and anyone accompanying a patient, will be asked to come to the building in a cloth mask or surgical mask. If a patient or visitor presents to the building without an appropriate, unsoiled, and undamaged cloth or surgical mask, then a surgical mask will be given to the patient/visitor to wear before entering the interior of the facility.
Anyone attempting to enter the facility with a mask that incorporates a valve or other exhalation aid will be required to wear a surgical mask over the mask having a valve or other exhalation aid.
Anyone attempting to enter the facility wearing gloves will be asked to remove the gloves and sanitize hands. Replacement gloves will not be provided.
Entrance to the Hospital Building
Elevators will be limited to four (4) passengers in the elevators with positioning of one person in each corner. The elevator standing locations will be marked with colored tape.
Common Area Disinfection
For the health and safety of patients, visitors, and staff, high-touch areas (hand rails, cab buttons, call buttons, and vertical surfaces) will be disinfected throughout the day, but no less than three times per day. Common area bathrooms will be cleaned and disinfected at least once per day.
