FULL-TIME OPTICIAN

Under the supervision of the Director of Optical Program & Development, the Optician is responsible for fitting patients with eyeglasses. Additionally, the Optician administers analyzes and interprets prescriptions written by ophthalmologists or optometrists; will take eye measurements to insure proper lens placement in the eyeglass frame, and verifies the accuracy of the finished product.

FULL-TIME HISTOLOGY TECHNICIAN, SR.

Under minimal supervision, the Histology Technician is responsible for providing advanced technical skills in the preparation of tissue specimens for microscopic examination and analysis.

FULL-TIME OPHTHALMIC TECHNICIAN

Under the direct supervision of the Ophthalmologist/Optometrist, the Ophthalmic Technician provides a variety of preliminary ocular assessment activities, including but not limited to, obtaining a complete and accurate medical history, visual acuity and stereo testing, lensometry, motility, applanation tonometry, pupil dilation, potential acuity meter testing and, and manifest refraction/autorefractometry. Increasingly complex patient procedures may also be assigned as determined by level of proficiency and experience.

PART-TIME OPHTHALMIC TECHNICIAN FLOAT
