Give Kids Sight Day
Wills Eye understands the importance of vision in learning. No other sense can stimulate curiosity, combine information, or invite exploration in the same way as vision. The management of eye problems in children requires special knowledge and skills, and Wills Eye is committed to helping educators and school health professionals promote good vision through screenings and on-site eye examination programs.
One of our ongoing efforts in this regard is Give Kids Sight Day. During this annual event, Wills Eye doctors provide free eye exams to almost 2,000 youngsters under age 19. Learn more.
Telemedicine
Wills Eye Hospital is at the forefront of global efforts to eliminate barriers in healthcare. Through our participation in several regional, national and international collaborations, we demonstrate the significant potential of telemedicine to meet the unique requirements of individuals and institutions in need of remote healthcare. Telemedicine technologies are a critical part of Wills Eye’s effort to improve the vision of patients everywhere and to prepare the next generation of ophthalmologists with cutting-edge skills and knowledge. Our clinical consultations and innovative educational events have enabled Wills Eye to become one of the most successful ophthalmic telemedicine programs in the world.
