Dr. Intili’s service & adventure begins
On Monday, July 6, 2015, Dr. Alessandra Intili, a recent graduate of the Wills Eye Hospital’s ophthalmology residency program, began her year-long fellowship with the Wills Eye Center for Academic Global Ophthalmology. To kick off her training and service, she boarded a flight to Rwanda, where she would meet Dr. Ciku Mathenge, to help lead a team participating in the country’s first attempt to survey preventable blindness.
