In Review of Ophthalmology, Wills Eye Retina ressearchers summarize the current understanding of retinal disease in dyskeratosis congenita and related telomere biology disorders, focusing on its etiology, clinical features, management and prognosis. Additionally, they highlight the reconceptualization of retinal disease in DC as a common clinical manifestation of the disease, rather than a rare subtype, termed short telomere-associated retinopathy (STAR).
