Wills Eye Announcement on Masks
The Philadelphia Department of Public Health has announced, effective May 16, 2023, masks will no longer be mandated in area healthcare facilities. This is in alignment with the end of the federal Public Health Emergency declaration for COVID-19.
Accordingly and effective immediately, Wills Eye Hospital will move to voluntary masking for staff, patients, and visitors. Patients, visitors, and staff who wish to continue masking may do so. If you are feeling ill, please stay home if you are able and mask up if you are not.
Patients and visitors should rest assured that the Healthcare Worker Vaccine Mandate is still in effect. It is our priority to ensure everyone in our facilities feel safe and secure while in our care.
