As Co-Director of Retina Research at the Retina Service of Wills Eye Hospital and Professor of Ophthalmology at the Sidney Kimmel Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University, Dr. Jason Hsu is actively involved in research studies aimed at advancing treatments for age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinal vascular diseases, and surgical diseases of the macula and retina. He has served as both Co-Investigator and site Principal Investigator for several pharmaceutical-sponsored, NIH-sponsored, and investigator-sponsored trials. Dr. Hsu has experience in designing and executing prospective clinical trials as well as multicenter retrospective database studies with particular interests in the effects of topical therapy on various retinal diseases, surgical outcomes and strategies for managing retinal detachment and proliferative vitreoretinopathy, impacts of loss to follow-up after intravitreal injections, and endophthalmitis mitigation.
