For more than 25 years, Ms. Peskin has been involved in clinical research on ocular disease and health. Prior to joining the Vickie and Jack Farber Vision Research Center at Wills Eye, Ms. Peskin was the Director of the Clinical Trials Coordinating Center at the Center for Preventive Ophthalmology and Biostatistics at the Scheie Eye Institute at the University of Pennsylvania. She has held management roles in and directed the coordinating centers for many large-scale, multicenter clinical research studies including the Comparison of Age-related Macular Degeneration Treatments Trials: Lucentis-Avastin Trial (CATT), the Complications of Age-related Macular Degeneration Prevention Trial (CAPT), the Dry Eye Assessment and Management (DREAM Study) and the Vision In Preschoolers Study (VIP).

Ms. Peskin is a Senior Fellow at the Leonard Davis Institute of Health Economics at the University of Pennsylvania and is a member of the Association for Vision in Research and Ophthalmology (ARVO), the Society for Clinical Trials, and the Society for Clinical Research Associates (SoCRA). She received her Master’s Degree from Temple University and a Certified Clinical Research Professional (CCRP) designation from SoCRA.
