The American Public Health Association Vision Care Section, Wills Eye Hospital, and the National Eye Institute have teamed up to provide a workshop titled See What I See: Virtual Reality Eye Disease Experience. The workshop will provide the public with a comprehensive look at the top four blinding eye diseases (glaucoma, macular degeneration, cataracts, and diabetic retinopathy), including prevention strategies, as well as a brief overview of dry eye disease. A virtual reality simulation will follow the presentation to demonstrate the impact and correlation of poor eye health and disease. The workshop is open to members of the public and will be held on November 2, 2019 from 1:30pm – 3:30pm. (check-in will begin at 1:00pm)
