Dr. Fell graduated from New York University and completed his medical school training at the SUNY Stony Brook School of Medicine in Stony Brook, NY. After completing his ophthalmology residency at University of Texas Southwestern, he pursued a uveitis fellowship at Cole Eye Institute in Cleveland, OH and a vitreoretinal surgery fellowship at Tufts Medical Center and Ophthalmic Consultants of Boston in Boston, MA.
Dr. Fell is a member of various ophthalmic societies including the American Society of Retina Specialists, Vit-Buckle Society, Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology, American Association of Ophthalmology, and the American Uveitis Society. He has authored over 20 publications, abstracts and textbook chapters on vitreoretinal and inflammatory diseases. He has presented his abstracts at conferences across the country and has been awarded honors for his research.
Dr. Fell is active in clinical research and has served as an investigator in over 25 clinical trials for various retinal conditions including age-related macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy.
Dr. Fell is passionate about providing access to ophthalmic treatment and care. He participated in ophthalmic surgery medical missions in the Dominican Republic during his residency and medical school. He continued this passion in August 2025 when he travels to Ghana to provide ophthalmic care for those in need.
