Dr. Brett Foxman is an attending surgeon on the Retina Service of Wills Eye Hospital. He graduated from Boston University Medical Honors Program, completed his ophthalmology residency and a fellowship in vitreoretinal disease at Jules Stein Eye Institute, University of California in Los Angeles.
Dr. Foxman has over 30 years of experience in vitreoretinal disease and surgery. He was the Chief of the Division of Ophthalmology at Shore Medical Center for over a decade. As a board member of the American Association of Retina Specialists (and its predecessor, the Vitreous Society) he served as creator and webmaster of their website, first Editor in Chief of the Retina Times and director of their annual international Film Festival. He has received several Honor Awards, published and presented academic papers and holds a patent for a surgical device.
