Biography

Beeran B. Meghpara, MD serves as the Director of Refractive Surgery and Co-Chief of the Cornea Service. His specialized surgical skills include layer-specific corneal transplantation, complex anterior segment reconstruction, and refractive cataract surgery. Dedicated to providing the best possible vision for his patients, Dr. Meghpara employs cutting-edge technology in cataract procedures and intraocular lens implants. Beyond the operating room, he is a prolific author and frequent speaker at local and global medical conferences. In addition to his clinical roles, he is a team ophthalmologist for the Philadelphia Phillies and has been consistently recognized by his colleagues as a Top Doctor in Philadelphia Magazine and by Castle Connolly.

Dr. Meghpara earned his medical degree from the University of Illinois College of Medicine, where he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. He then moved on to complete his residency in ophthalmology at the Cullen Eye Institute of Baylor College of Medicine, followed by advanced fellowship training in corneal and refractive surgery at the University of Colorado.
