Nasolacrimal Duct Obstruction

We all make a tear film over our eye surface every day, all day long. These tears drain off the surface of the eye through tiny holes in the eye lids near the nose, which connect to a system of tubes under the skin of the side of the nose and then empty into the nose. If this system becomes blocked it can result in discharge, tearing and infection.
