Scott J. Fudemberg, MD is an attending physician on the Glaucoma Service at Wills Eye Hospital and an Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at Sidney Kimmel Medical College. He graduated magna cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania and attended medical school at St. Louis University where he graduated with Distinction in Research. He served as an ophthalmology resident at the University of Kansas where he was appointed a co-chief resident and received the Alan W. Riley Award as resident of the year.
Dr. Fudemberg has been at the forefront of research concerning glaucoma and glaucoma laser therapy. He has presented extensively on the topic at the annual meetings of the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology and the American Glaucoma Society, and the Anna and William Goldberg Glaucoma Service and Research Center. His research has been published in the Journal of the American Association for Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus, Ophthalmic Surgery, Lasers & Imaging, and Glaucoma Today.
Dr. Fudemberg has authored numerous publications in peer reviewed journals and textbooks as well as presented work at international meetings. He is an editor of the Yearbook of Ophthalmology's glaucoma section and has served as a reviewer for major ophthalmology journals. He is a fellow in the American College of Surgeons, the College of Physicians of Philadelphia, and a Diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology.
