Biography

Parveen K. Nagra, MD, is a board-certified, fellowship-trained ophthalmologist specializing in cornea transplantation, cataract surgery, and laser vision correction.  She completed her undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan, followed by medical school at the University of Michigan Medical School.  She came to Wills Eye Hospital for her ophthalmology residency, where she was served as Chief Resident in her final year.  She then completed her Cornea and External Disease Fellowship at Wills Eye Hospital.  She currently is an active member of the Cornea Service at Wills Eye Hospital and serves as an Assistant Professor in Ophthalmology at the Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University.

Dr. Nagra specializes in performing state-of-the-art corneal surgeries, including full-thickness corneal transplantation, partial thickness endothelial keratoplasty (DSEK, DMEK) and DALK corneal transplants. She also has a strong interest in cataract surgery, especially in patients with corneal conditions.  She also performs laser vision corrective surgery such as LASIK and PRK, as well as collagen crosslinking for the treatment of keratoconus and post-LASIK ectasia.  As a corneal specialist, she also treats corneal infections, corneal dystrophies, dry eye syndrome, and other diseases of the cornea and external eye.

Dr. Nagra is a member of the Cornea Service at Wills Eye Hospital and actively involved in the training of resident and corneal fellows.
