40th Anniversary of the Wills Eye Ocular Oncology Service
The Ocular Oncology Service at Wills Eye Hospital is the largest program dedicated to the diagnosis and treatment of eye tumors and cancers in the world. Led by Drs. Carol and Jerry Shields, patients from the U.S. and abroad receive care for common and rare cancers, many of which are serious, life-threatening conditions. The Service provides personalized, high-quality care while leading research efforts and teaching the next generation of ocular oncology specialists.
The 2015 Wills Eye Ball, held on Saturday, October 17th, celebrated the Service’s milestone 40th anniversary and honors seven specialists who have contributed to its success in research, medical education and patient care. We wish to thank our Sponsors and all who contributed to the success of this event and invite you to view highlights from this historic occasion.
Net proceeds from this event benefit the Brady-Shields Endowed Chair in Ocular Oncology at Wills Eye.
