Increased police presence is anticipated in Center City throughout Tuesday afternoon and evening. Please allow extra time if you are going to Wills Eye. Course Description: 

This course will concentrate on the most common infectious processes that affect the eye and periocular region. Each subspecialty will present up to five pearls for the diagnosis and management of specific infectious processes, and will be geared with the comprehensive ophthalmologist in mind.

At the conclusion of this educational activity, participants should be able to:

  • Discuss important new advances in the etiologies, diagnosis, and treatment/prevention of eye diseases.
  • Identify basic and clinical vision research that can be transformed into improved clinical care.
  • Assess the role of new technologies in the evaluation and treatment of eye diseases.
  • Describe factors that impact the effective delivery of the highest quality eye care for the public.
  • Identify clinical, scientific, and ethical issues confronting the profession.
  • Obtain information and tools through multiple facets to help ophthalmologists deliver high and efficient quality of care.
