The Wills Eye Surgery Center in Northeast Philadelphia is the first ambulatory surgical facility to be opened by the Wills Eye Surgical Network in Pennsylvania. Since opening in December 1995, the surgical staff of over 25 active physicians has performed more than 10,000 procedures. The tremendous success of the Surgery Center in Northeast Philadelphia is a direct result of devoted service from the physicians, nurses, and support staff.
The Center, formerly a single operating room facility, has now moved to a brand new three-operating room state-of-the-art surgical facility.
To accommodate the increasing demand, The Wills Eye Surgical Network relocated the center to a 10,000-square-foot facility on the site of the old Shriner's Hospital on Roosevelt Boulevard. The new facility has double the capacity of the current center and includes a state-of-the-art, 600-square-foot orthopedic room.
The Wills Eye Surgery Center in Northeast Philadelphia is fully licensed by the State of Pennsylvania, AAAHC accredited, and Medicare certified.
The center is open from 6:30 AM to 4:30 PM Monday through Friday.
