Corneal Ulcer

An infection in the cornea can progress to become a corneal ulcer. Mild infections respond well to medications, but severe infections can cause significant scarring and loss of vision. Contact lens wearers, especially those who sleep in their lenses, are at higher risk for corneal ulcers.
