If You Have Low Vision
Low Vision is the common term for people with a vision problem that can not be corrected
with refractive lenses, medical treatment or surgical procedures. People of all ages can
have low vision, but the probability of having low vision increases as you get older. It
has been estimated that one in twenty people have an eye problem that results in low vision.
The causes of low vision can vary. Common causes include macular degeneration, diabetes,
glaucoma, retinitis pigmentosa, optic neuritis, optic atrophy, keratoconus, albinism and
eye injury, among other conditions.
If you have low vision, the Wills Eye Low Vision Service is here to assist you. Call for an
appointment to start the process toward a better quality of life.
