Continuing Medical Education

Wills Eye has a long history of providing continuing medical education opportunities to ophthalmologists and community physicians through its Department of Continuing Medical Education. The mission of the department is to enhance the knowledge and skills of physicians and health professionals, as well as to promote optimal patient care.

Continuing Medical Education (CME) activities are offered throughout the year at Wills Eye. Our live CME programs focus on matters relevant to the clinical side of medicine and the ethical and policy issues faced by practicing ophthalmologists. Travel Information

Wills Eye Hospital is located at 840 Walnut Street (SE corner of 9th & Walnut). Enter driveway on Walnut Street just before 9th Street, make left (directly across from Walnut Street Theatre); rate on Saturday is $22 max @ day (less 15% discount with validation). Alternate parking locations: 8th & Chestnut, 8th & Walnut; 10th & Walnut. Wills is easily accessible by public transportation.  The Market East Station, which serve suburban and city transit services, is a short walk to the Wills Eye Hospital; PATCO High Speed line is at 9th & Locust Streets (1 block from Wills).

Online Medical Education

The Wills Eye Knowledge Portal features free online CME courses as well as surgical videos, lectures and other presentations by Wills Eye ophthalmologists. To register, visit willseyeonline.org.
